Friends and Family Test : FFT October 2016

Welcome to Chelmer Village Surgery

Staff Changes

Dr Tim Macpherson retired from practice at the end of June 2016.  The Surgery continues to operate as before but is now under the joint partnership of Dr Latha Amma and Dr Thaya Ahillan.

GP Summit

The Surgery will be closed on Wednesday 23rd November from 12:30 until 18:30 as part of a mid-Essex wide training session.  Patients who require medical attention should contact the Surgery on 01245 467759, the voicemail message will provide information and contact details.

Smoking Support

Over the coming weeks an organisation called Provide will be contacting a number of our patients to confirm their current smoking status, and to offer stop smoking support as appropriate.  Please be assured that this work is being undertaken on behalf of the surgery.

 Friends and Family Test

Chelmer Village Surgery will be giving all registered patients the opportunity to give feedback on their care and treatment.   You can use the "Friends and Family Test" link in the side bar to leave your feedback.

Friend & Family Test

The Friends and Family Test has already been successfully rolled out in hospitals across the country and is proving to be valuable in obtaining patient experiences. For more information on the Friends and Family Test, please visit

Each month an updated report on the Friends and Family test will be available on this website via the Noticeboard (above) and in the waiting room of the Surgery.

The main entrance to the practice is accessed via a ramp from the car parking area.  Whilst there are no marked bays, parking is usually easily available. Access to the premises is through a door in to a small foyer area and then in to the general reception area. The receptionists are always happy to assist with access.
