Welcome to Chelmer Village Surgery

Dr Macpherson

Dr Tim Macpherson will be retiring at the end of June 2016.

From 1st July 2016 onwards Chelmer Village Surgery will be run as a partnership practice by Dr Latha Amma and Dr Thaya Ahillan who will both work here fulltime.

Recruitment is underway for a third GP to provide additional part-time cover.

We are aware that there is a great deal of uncertainty in the Chelmsford area regarding GP services in the light of Sutherland Lodge handing back their contract and other surgeries closing their lists to new patients.   We would like to take this opportunity to let you know that Chelmer Village Surgery will remain open and we will continue to register new patients who are within our catchment area.

 Friends and Family Test

Chelmer Village Surgery will be giving all registered patients the opportunity to give feedback on their care and treatment.   You can use the "Friends and Family Test" link in the side bar to leave your feedback.

Friend & Family Test

The Friends and Family Test has already been successfully rolled out in hospitals across the country and is proving to be valuable in obtaining patient experiences. For more information on the Friends and Family Test, please visit www.nhs.uk/friendsandfamily.

Each month an updated report on the Friends and Family test will be available on this website via the Noticeboard (above) and in the waiting room of the Surgery.

Access

The main entrance to the practice is accessed via a ramp from the car parking area.  Whilst there are no marked bays, parking is usually easily available. Access to the premises is through a door in to a small foyer area and then in to the general reception area. The receptionists are always happy to assist with access.
